A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking a dedicated Matrimonial Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of matrimonial and family law cases, providing legal advice and representation to clients in matters such as divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, and property division. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, as well as a strong understanding of New York matrimonial and family law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of matrimonial and family law cases, including divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, and property division.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as settlement agreements, pleadings, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation, and settlement conferences.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
  • Manage a caseload with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in matrimonial and family law.
  • Strong understanding of New York matrimonial and family law.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and cases effectively.
