Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm based in New Orleans, LA, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in insurance defense, commercial litigation, and other legal specialties. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with senior attorneys to represent institutional clients and assist in various legal matters, including depositions, trial preparation, and legal research.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, memoranda, and discovery responses.
• Manage and respond to discovery requests promptly.
• Take and defend depositions as part of the litigation process.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client representation.
• Assist with trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedings.
• Represent clients in a variety of legal areas, including insurance defense, commercial litigation, product liability defense, real estate transactions, successions, mediations, and arbitrations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an attorney in a similar practice area.
• Louisiana Bar membership is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Louisiana Bar Association is required.
