Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage due diligence processes, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with a team to provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance and compliance matters.
  • Review and analyze complex legal agreements and business contracts.
  • Advise clients on corporate structuring, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update legal knowledge pertinent to various industries and corporate transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering clear and actionable legal guidance.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of law practice experience in mergers and acquisitions, lending, or venture capital.
  • Familiarity with the transactional due diligence process and corporate governance.
  • Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Admitted to the Connecticut Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Connecticut.

Skills:

  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex transactional documents.
  • Proficiency in managing due diligence and providing strategic legal advice.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
