Employment Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. This hybrid position will offer the opportunity to work on a variety of employment law matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cases from inception through trial, preparing legal documents, and advocating for clients in mediations and trials. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in litigation and case management.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal memoranda on various employment law matters.
• Respond to discovery requests and manage document production.
• Conduct and defend depositions as part of litigation preparation.
• Attend and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Handle employment-related cases from initial consultation to trial.
• Prepare for and attend trials, ensuring strong advocacy for clients in court.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar (required).
• Proven experience in employment law, including case management from inception to trial.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in handling cyber liability issues is highly preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and effectively communicate with clients.
• Strong deposition and litigation experience, including representing clients in hearings and mediations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Strong oral communication and advocacy skills, especially in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Ability to prepare and manage litigation documents efficiently.
