A law firm seeks a passionate Family Law Attorney to join its team in Manhattan, KS. This position offers an immediate opportunity for dynamic and highly motivated legal professionals to provide strategic legal support and guidance in family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and other related issues.

Duties

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for submission to relevant entities, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders related to family law cases.
  • Communicate with attorneys, court personnel, and clients to provide updates on case progress.
  • Interview witnesses for court cases and prepare them for testimony.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all prepared documents.
  • Appear in court for all assigned cases in a timely manner.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned cases from start to finish.
  • Perform necessary administrative tasks, including filing, mailing, and organizing case files.
  • Conduct legal research on specific family law issues as required.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must possess a valid Kansas license to practice law.
  • Preferred experience in family law, though not mandatory.
  • Senior Associate positions available for candidates with five or more years of litigation experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Kansas.
