Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Henderson, NV, is seeking a skilled and motivated Real Estate Attorney to join their growing team. This role will focus on a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, Section 8 housing, and related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate law and will be passionate about providing effective legal counsel to property owners, landlords, and property management companies.

Duties:

  • Handle legal matters related to the Fair Housing Act, including compliance, discrimination claims, and civil rights issues
  • Provide expert counsel to clients on landlord-tenant law, including state, local, and federal regulations
  • Manage eviction cases, including Section 8 housing-related disputes
  • Advise clients regarding bankruptcy cases affecting landlords and property owners
  • Represent clients in litigation, including disputes over tenant damages, lease violations, and rent collection
  • Draft and review legal documents such as leases, notices, contracts, and other legal correspondence
  • Assist with compliance and develop strategies to minimize legal risks for landlords and property managers
  • Stay updated on real estate law trends and changes in landlord-tenant legislation

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Nevada Bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing real estate law, with a focus on landlord-tenant matters
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
