A law firm seeks a Junior Lending Associate to join its Financial Institutions Group in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset-based lending, secured and unsecured credit facilities, and acquisition financing. Duties:

  • Assist in the representation of clients in asset-based lending transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities and acquisition financing.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review loan agreements, credit facility documents, and related financing documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support to financial institutions, borrowers, and other stakeholders in lending transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned advice on regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Manage a variety of tasks and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop strategic solutions for complex financial transactions.
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions, contributing to the firm’s business development efforts.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of lending laws and market trends to provide effective legal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Experience in lending transactions, with exposure to asset-based lending, credit facilities, and acquisition financing.
  • Strong academic record and superior legal research and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and deliver quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia, or eligible for admission to the Georgia Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of asset-based lending, secured and unsecured financing, and acquisition financing.
  • Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills.
  • High-level analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research and using relevant databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
