Duties:

• Provide counsel on compliance with state and federal education laws.
• Attend and participate in administrative hearings, public meetings, and litigation as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies for clients.
• Engage in client consultations to provide legal advice and risk assessments.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in public agency or education law.
• Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality legal documents.
• Excellent presentation skills, including oral advocacy and public speaking abilities.
• A proven track record of collaboration in a team-based environment.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
