Job Overview:
A growing personal injury and property damage law firm is seeking a highly motivated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Columbia, SC. The attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, providing legal counsel, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court as necessary. This position requires excellent client communication, trial preparation, and the ability to handle complex personal injury claims.

Location:

  • Columbia, SC

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their cases, providing legal advice and fostering trust.
  • Communicate with clients and insurance companies regarding claims, demands, and offers.
  • Evaluate personal injury claims and prepare cases for trial.
  • Represent clients in court and manage all aspects of trial preparation.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients on their legal options.
  • Work independently while collaborating with the team to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience, including 1st chair trial experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership with the South Carolina Bar in good standing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong experience in evaluating personal injury claims.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the South Carolina Bar (in good standing).
