A law firm seeks a dedicated Junior Associate Attorney to join its team remotely. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and possess strong attention to detail. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for immigration law, particularly those interested in reviewing and managing case documents, working alongside senior attorneys, and providing essential support in various legal matters. The successful candidate will contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering impactful legal services and making a positive difference in clients’ lives.

Duties:

  • Review consultation notes and analyze case strategies to ensure accurate legal advice and case planning.
  • Perform thorough final reviews of client petitions and ensure all necessary corrections and edits are made to legal documents.
  • Audit and compare case data to verify consistency and accuracy between documents.
  • Communicate opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with the team to optimize workflow.
  • Manage cases sent for revision and expedite them into the final review phase.
  • Provide high-level communication with the legal team to address legal questions and provide clarification as needed.
  • Represent clients at USCIS interviews and in removal proceedings across all states.
  • Prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and appeals.
  • Conduct phone or in-person client meetings to address inquiries and provide legal guidance.
  • Analyze emergency motions and develop responses.
  • Innovate and contribute to the development of process improvements within the legal department.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Must have passed the Bar Exam in the United States.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to various legal software and systems.
  • Quick learner with the ability to process complex information rapidly.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive in identifying issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and handle a high caseload.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish (required).
  • High-level communication and social skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in technology and software commonly used in legal practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
