A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal counsel, advocate for clients in various legal proceedings, and maintain a commitment to professionalism and community engagement.

Job Duties:

  • Advise, advocate for, and represent clients in litigation matters with integrity and civility.
  • Maintain a calendar of hearings, court appearances, and conferences based on caseload.
  • Network and engage in community activities to enhance the firm's reputation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements and documents.
  • Conduct hearings, bench and jury trials, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case updates and legal processes.
  • Manage case deadlines and document billable hours accurately.
  • Perform thorough legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • e-File documents with courts and maintain compliance with procedural requirements.
  • Utilize case management software (e.g., MyCase) efficiently for case tracking and management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia with no disciplinary history.
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Admittance to Federal Court is preferred.
  • Experience in bankruptcy law is desired.
  • Familiarity with MyCase or similar case management software is advantageous.
  • Strong command of legal details, efficient work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
