Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice group in Florida. This role involves handling complex insurance coverage matters, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

• Tallahassee, Florida

Duties:

• Review case files and conduct legal analysis of claims and causes of action.

• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate documents.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

• Collaborate with expert witnesses and assist in their retention.

• Prepare cases for trial and attend hearings as needed.

• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.

• Travel as required for case proceedings and client meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage (preferred but not required).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent legal research, written, and oral communication skills.

• Ability to manage cases independently and collaborate within a team environment.

• Prompt responsiveness to emails and phone inquiries.

• Strong client management and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (additional state admissions are a plus but not required).

Skills:
