Construction Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview
A prestigious law firm in Portland, OR, seeks a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in construction law. The ideal candidate will excel in both litigation and transactional matters while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings and participate in discovery and motion practice
  • Assist in arbitration and trial processes
  • Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, including AIA forms
  • Manage lien laws, bid protests, delay and impact claims, and governmental contracts
  • Demonstrate ownership of projects while working independently and within a team
  • Engage in business development within the real estate/construction sector

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in construction law or general litigation
  • Strong academic credentials and professional references
  • Solid research, analysis, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong client service ethics and time management abilities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity (required)
