Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, handling litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload, ensuring timely and efficient case handling.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and all levels of management regarding case progress, strategy, and outcomes.
  • Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Handle hearings, depositions, and other court appearances.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and meet billable hour targets.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure effective legal representation.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on workers' compensation laws, regulations, and compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation or civil litigation (preferred).
  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar is required.
  • Experience with billing hours and managing casework is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance and legal research skills.

Certifications:
