Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients, explaining their rights and guiding them through the legal process
• Draft legal documents and prepare case files related to client matters
• Represent clients during pretrial hearings, offering strategic advice on next steps
• Attend court appearances, manage trials, and draft motions
• Conduct interviews with witnesses and perform comprehensive legal research to support cases
• Analyze case outcomes and identify the best possible legal strategies
• Collect evidence to strengthen cases or challenge prosecution claims
• Prepare clients for depositions, collaborating with experts and witnesses to support case goals
• Work with colleagues to strategize and manage the overall caseload efficiently

Requirements:

• Proven experience in criminal defense, with a focus on handling complex cases at federal, state, and local levels
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain a professional demeanor
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the State Bar of California
