A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its expanding civil litigation and landlord/tenant law practice in Barre, MA. The firm provides legal representation to a wide variety of clients, from individual property owners to some of the largest landlords in the country. Additionally, the firm handles civil litigation matters, including personal injury cases. This is a full-time, on-site position that offers a great opportunity for an attorney looking to grow their expertise while working alongside seasoned attorneys.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on civil litigation and landlord/tenant disputes.
  • Prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs, for case preparation and court submissions.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings.
  • Participate in negotiations and mediation to help clients reach favorable resolutions.
  • Assist senior attorneys with trial preparation and strategy formulation for complex cases.
  • Maintain regular client communication, providing updates and legal counsel on case progression.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth research, drafting, and analysis of complex legal issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for client interactions and mediation.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • High attention to detail and sound judgment in legal assessments and case strategies.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills:
