A law firm in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Corporate Health Plan Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel to healthcare clients, specializing in strategic transactions and corporate matters. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in health plan operations and regulatory compliance to deliver strategic advice and support to clients in the healthcare sector.

 

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisitions, venture capital investments, and joint ventures.
  • Assist clients with corporate governance, formations, capital raises, and operational strategies.
  • Handle contract negotiations and other day-to-day corporate legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide insightful analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients, manage client relationships, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute to a collegial work environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing law with a focus on health plan operations, regulatory compliance, managed care, and state and federal healthcare laws.
  • Proficiency in Medicare risk adjustment, STARS, Medicaid matters, provider contracting, and behavioral health parity.
  • Strong understanding of corporate transactions and corporate governance principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.

Certifications:
