Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a mid-level class action associate attorney to join its team.

Job Overview: The Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney will handle complex commercial litigation, mainly focusing on class action defense and related matters. The role involves managing a multi-matter docket, providing high-quality legal counsel, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality legal documents and deliverables.
• Answer phone calls and respond to correspondence promptly.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Adhere to firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience managing a multi-matter docket and handling class action defense.
• Proficiency in complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
• Previous federal clerkship experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated business judgment and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Persuasive communication and influence skills.
• Project management and multitasking abilities.
• Bar Admission in California (CA Bar admission required).
