A law firm seeks an experienced and self-motivated Associate Attorney to join its expanding non-litigation practice. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on diverse matters such as business law, family law, estate planning, consumer issues, and landlord-tenant disputes. Duties

  • Provide detailed telephone consultations to clients on various legal matters, including business law, family law, landlord-tenant, consumer issues, and estate planning.
  • Draft legal documents such as letters, contracts, and other agreements.
  • Review and analyze legal documents and contracts.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
  • Maintain effective and professional communication with clients, managing expectations and providing timely updates.
  • Stay organized and manage a high volume of cases effectively.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines to achieve productivity goals.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing a client-facing role.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina (SC Bar).
