Job Title: Associate Immigration Attorney

A premier law firm located in Miami, FL, is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Immigration Attorney to join their expanding immigration team. Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration laws and strategies to clients
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
• Manage a caseload of immigration matters, ensuring timely and efficient case progression
• Conduct intake interviews and represent detained clients at detention centers
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including removal defense, family-based petitions, and humanitarian cases
• Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on legal matters related to immigration law
• Consult with potential clients to assess their cases and develop appropriate immigration strategies
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and USCIS testimony
• Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs in support of immigration cases

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in immigration law
• Admission to the Florida Bar
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
• Proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload
• Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Law, EOIR proceedings, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS-related matters
• Experience with case management software is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar
