Entry-Level Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Entry-Level Tax Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of diversified transactional tax experience, with a focus on partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters. Preference is given to candidates with experience at an Am Law 200 firm. The role requires excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a strong academic background. An LL.M. in Taxation is advantageous but not mandatory. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with transactional tax matters, including partnership, real estate, and corporate tax issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft tax-related memoranda, opinions, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on tax planning and compliance matters.
• Review, analyze, and negotiate tax-related agreements, contracts, and other documents.
• Provide support in client communications and tax transaction negotiations.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of diversified transactional tax experience.
• Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax work.
• Am Law 200 law firm experience is preferred.
• High level of academic achievement.
• LL.M. in Taxation is helpful but not required.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic performance with a focus on tax law.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
