Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Mission Viejo, CA, is seeking a Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to manage and handle commercial, general, and professional liability matters. The ideal candidate will possess experience in coverage analysis and litigation, with a strong ability to analyze coverage issues and write comprehensive coverage opinions. This role requires an active California Bar license and exceptional writing and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Handle coverage litigation matters, including commercial, general, and professional liability cases.
• Analyze insurance coverage issues and prepare detailed coverage opinions for insurers.
• Draft and review legal documents related to coverage disputes, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in coverage litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and stay informed about developments in insurance law and coverage issues.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals to resolve coverage disputes effectively.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to insurers regarding coverage questions and disputes.
• Manage caseload efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California and a member in good standing with the State Bar.
• Experience handling commercial, general, and professional liability matters.
• Proven experience analyzing coverage issues and writing coverage opinions.
• Some coverage and litigation experience is required.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
