A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its team in Hutchinson, KS. This position offers an immediate opportunity for passionate legal professionals to provide strategic support and guidance in various family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and estate planning.

Duties

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders related to family law cases.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding case developments.
  • Interview witnesses for court proceedings and prepare them for testimony.
  • Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of all documents and filings.
  • Appear promptly in court for all assigned cases.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned cases from initial consultation to resolution.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, mailing, and organizing case files.
  • Conduct legal research on specific family law issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Valid Kansas license to practice law.
  • Family law experience is preferred, but candidates without direct experience may still apply.
  • Senior Associate positions are available for attorneys with five years or more of litigation experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Kansas.
