A robust civil litigation skill set, particularly in drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and managing depositions and court appearances, is essential.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload related to insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and dispositive motions.
• Oversee all stages of discovery, including discovery motion practice.
• Handle depositions and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients to address complex insurance-related issues and litigation strategies.
• Independently manage cases from inception through resolution, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Engage in business development efforts and client relationship management.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated experience in handling professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance issues.
• Extensive experience in civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively with a team.
• A strong track record of business development and client management is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
