Job Description:

Duties:

  • Assist in the corporate aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and day-to-day operations involving private equity portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced lawyers, receiving active mentoring, progressively greater responsibility, and client contact.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts.
  • Conducted due diligence on transactions and advised clients on legal risks.
  • Provide high-quality legal services and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay current on legal trends and developments in private equity.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in private equity law, focusing on corporate acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in North Carolina or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar or the ability to become admitted.
