Job Overview:
A law firm located in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and be able to independently manage client cases. In a remote role, the attorney will receive a steady flow of vetted clients with guaranteed payments for each accepted case. Administrative and back-end support will be provided, allowing the attorney to focus on client representation.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, paternity, domestic violence, and related issues.
• Conduct legal research, prepare case strategies, and analyze relevant legal precedents.
• Interview clients to gather necessary information, assess their needs, and align with their goals.
• Advise clients on their legal rights, options, and potential outcomes of their cases.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court hearings, including trial representation.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, legal staff, and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
• Keep up to date with changes in family law, regulations, and court rulings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law practice.
• Proven ability to lead trials and manage complex cases independently.
• Experience working in a solo practice or with a small firm.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid state Bar license.
