Senior Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney focusing on ERISA/Executive compensation litigation defense experience. The position is based in Chicago, IL.

Job Overview:

The Senior Litigation Attorney will play a crucial role in providing legal expertise and strategic guidance in the defense of ERISA and Executive compensation litigation matters. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, showcasing a deep understanding of the legal landscape in this specialized field.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound advice and opinions on ERISA and Executive compensation litigation matters.
• Develop and implement effective defense strategies in collaboration with clients.
• Represent clients in federal and state courts, as well as administrative proceedings.
• Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related materials.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management.
• Stay abreast of legal developments, trends, and regulations related to ERISA and Executive compensation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience focusing on ERISA/Executive compensation defense.
