A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Short Hills, NJ. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a renowned franchise law team, engaging with clients across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will bring experience in U.S. franchising regulations and possess strong skills in drafting franchise agreements and regulatory documentation.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise-related agreements, including franchise disclosure documents and regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal guidance on complex business transactions in the franchise and distribution sectors.
  • Counsel both domestic and international clients on a broad range of franchising matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on both transactional and litigation franchise issues.
  • Support a wide array of clients, from start-up franchisors to large franchising entities and private equity firms, including foreign companies expanding into the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. franchise regulations.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar or eligibility for admission.
