The ideal candidate will work on a wide range of data privacy and cybersecurity matters, including incident response, privacy regulations, and data breach litigation. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where attorneys will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive counsel to clients on cybersecurity and privacy law compliance.

Duties:

  • Handle data breach and security incident responses, including forensic investigations and mitigation strategies.
  • Advise clients on state and federal data privacy and security laws and regulations.
  • Provide counsel on technology contracts related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Manage and assist with data privacy litigation, including the drafting of briefs, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, regulations, and artificial intelligence developments.
  • Work with clients on developing enterprise-wide privacy and security plans.
  • Coordinate with U.S. Office for Civil Rights and state Attorneys General on investigations related to data privacy.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing law in the areas of cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity law, including forensic data breach experience.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of federal and state privacy laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in handling cybersecurity incidents and data breach responses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for drafting legal documents and counseling clients.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation cases.
  • Familiarity with AI technology and its intersection with privacy law is preferred.
