A well-regarded law firm located in Pasadena, CA is seeking a skilled Estate Planning Attorney through a specialized legal recruitment firm. The role focuses on client engagement, estate analysis, and preparation of tailored estate planning solutions. The attorney will work on-site five days a week and will be part of a collaborative legal environment that values thorough communication, document precision, and consistent client interaction.

Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective and returning clients

  • Gather detailed information to assess estate planning needs

  • Develop customized estate plans aligned with client objectives

  • Present plan structures clearly and answer questions during review meetings

  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes for all client interactions

  • Prepare and finalize engagement agreements, including electronic signature handling

  • Handle client billing and fee collection as appropriate

  • Monitor and respond to internal task systems (e.g., email, matter correspondence)

  • Collaborate with internal teams to discuss complex planning scenarios

  • Join regularly scheduled departmental and firm-wide meetings

  • Refer clients to affiliated advisors when applicable, ensuring disclosure forms are completed

  • Follow up on inquiries via phone and email

  • Participate in special legal projects and internal planning discussions as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in estate planning

  • Familiarity with legal document preparation in trust, wills, and probate

  • Proficiency in using legal practice management and task-tracking tools

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Meticulous organizational habits and note-keeping

  • Professional demeanor and ability to manage confidential information

  • Comfortable working in a team-based office setting five days per week

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Active license in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Client communication and presentation

  • Estate planning design and documentation

  • Legal writing and document review

  • Time management and workload prioritization

  • Familiarity with Asana, Lawcus, or similar legal tech platforms

  • Ability to work collaboratively across legal and administrative teams
