Duties

  • Manage and prioritize a large caseload related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking.
  • Draft and review pleadings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and other legal proceedings.
  • Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to develop case strategies.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex legal issues to mitigate client risk.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
  • Previous experience in title, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

  • Proficient in legal research, drafting, and review within foreclosure and bankruptcy law.
