Duties:

• Prepare and draft legal pleadings and other court documents
• Draft and manage correspondence with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal advice
• Perform legal research and analysis on family law issues
• Use Xspouse software to calculate child and spousal support
• Handle discovery processes, including propounding and responding to discovery requests
• Prepare case summaries and legal memoranda
• Draft testimony questions for court hearings and depositions
• Assist with trial and deposition preparation, including opening and closing arguments
• Maintain accurate case records and track billable time using case management software

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California (or a JD for post-bar law clerk candidates)
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Familiarity with Mac OS and Microsoft Office

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• California Bar License
