Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney with 2-6 years of experience to join its San Francisco office. Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of litigated claims, ensuring all aspects of each case are handled efficiently and strategically.
  • Assist in all stages of trial preparation, including formulating strategies, conducting discovery, reviewing records, and preparing clients and witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research in complex areas of litigation, particularly in product liability, premises liability, and environmental law.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring comprehensive documentation of witness statements.
  • Prepare and argue motions, representing clients' interests at hearings and pre-trial meetings.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to refine case strategies and ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
  • 2-6 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on product liability, premises liability, tort, toxic tort, or environmental law.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload.
  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, with a client-focused approach to legal practice.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and respond effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with trial preparation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

  • Strong research capabilities, with experience in complex litigation areas.
