A law firm seeks an experienced and dynamic Real Estate & Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in real estate law, land use, and litigation, with a specific focus on residential and commercial transactions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse legal matters while providing exceptional service to clients across Delaware.

Duties

  • Manage real estate transactions, including both residential and commercial deals, from inception to closing.
  • Handle disputes and litigation involving real estate matters, including breach of contract, zoning, and title issues.
  • Provide legal counsel on land use matters, including local zoning ordinances and land use regulations.
  • Represent clients in court, at hearings, and in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as purchase agreements, leases, and deeds.
  • Offer strategic guidance to clients navigating complex real estate matters and land use issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure timely and efficient case resolution.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Delaware real estate laws, regulations, and procedural requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Delaware State Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-5 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on both residential and commercial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of Delaware real estate laws, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Experience in land use and zoning law, including familiarity with local ordinances.
  • Previous experience handling litigation related to real estate matters.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and maintain high-quality client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Delaware State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Expertise in real estate law, including both residential and commercial transactions.
  • Familiarity with land use, zoning laws, and local ordinances in Delaware.
  • Strong litigation experience, including representing clients in court and alternative dispute resolutions.
