Litigation Attorney

Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Experienced)

Duties:

• Represent clients in various litigation phases, from case initiation through expert discovery, with a focus on professional liability and labor & employment cases.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and manage discovery investigations.
• Draft discovery requests and responses, motions, case summaries, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and depositions, providing litigation updates and case summaries.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable settlements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing legal analysis and status reports throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Experience in litigation, particularly in the areas of general liability and labor & employment law.
• Admission to the New York Bar (required).
• Proven ability to draft discovery, take the lead on depositions, and argue motions.
• Strong organizational and writing skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Lexis software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar license (required).
