Job Location: Washington, DC

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Antitrust Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in mergers and acquisitions, HSR, compliance, and transactional counseling. This role offers the opportunity to participate in all aspects of antitrust practice, with significant responsibility from the outset.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, HSR filings, merger compliance, and transactional counseling.
  • Conduct antitrust risk assessments and develop compliance programs.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and hearings before regulatory agencies.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, filings, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Mentor junior associates and guide on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in antitrust law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, HSR, and transactional counseling.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Large firm or relevant government agency experience preferred.
  • Federal clerkship experience strongly considered.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility for immediate admission.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
