Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its San Jose office. The position offers an opportunity to work in areas such as professional negligence, transportation, product liability, or real estate-related litigation. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience with discovery and depositions. A hybrid work schedule is available, though less experienced attorneys may be required to work in the office for additional training and support.

Duties:

• Handle discovery, depositions, and other litigation tasks in civil litigation matters.
• Work on cases related to professional negligence, transportation, products liability, and real estate litigation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research and manage case files.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in civil litigation, including discovery and depositions.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California (required).
