Associate Attorney needed for San Angelo office

A law firm in San Angelo, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in the landowner practice. The candidate will handle a variety of legal matters including real estate, energy, general business, estate planning, and other related issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to real estate, energy, general business, and estate planning.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and estate planning documents.
• Advise clients on landowner issues, including property rights, land use, and environmental regulations.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
• Handle client communications and maintain client relationships.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
• Should have relevant legal experience, preferably with a focus on landowner issues.
• Strong understanding of Texas laws related to real estate, energy, and estate planning.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
