Job Overview
A leading law firm in Phoenix, AZ is currently seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a focus on EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) matters. This role is ideal for a passionate and driven attorney looking to deepen their litigation skills while advocating for clients in removal proceedings. Duties

  • Provide legal representation for both detained and non-detained individuals in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Manage a diverse caseload with autonomy and efficiency

  • Conduct intake and client interviews, including visits to detention centers

  • Prepare and review a wide variety of immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense

  • Adjust and finalize application packets for submission

  • Deliver presentations and engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration law updates

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients and advise on legal strategy

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and USCIS interviews

  • Perform legal research and draft legal briefs and other written advocacy

  • Collaborate with internal teams including attorneys and legal assistants

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in immigration law, specifically EOIR matters

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and advance legal cases independently

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-centered approach

  • Strong collaboration and team-based work ethic

  • Experience handling family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR cases, detained clients, citizenship, and USCIS matters

  • Proficiency with legal case management software preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state in good standing

Skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence

  • Strategic legal analysis and case planning

  • Drafting and editing legal documents and briefs

  • Bilingual communication (English/Spanish) is a plus

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in legal filings

  • Client interviewing and counseling
