A law firm in Rhinebeck, NY, is seeking a skilled attorney specializing in Real Estate Development, Land Use Law, and Municipal Law. The ideal candidate will handle various legal matters related to property development, zoning regulations, and municipal governance.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients involved in real estate development projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on zoning laws, land use regulations, and municipal ordinances.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, leases, and other legal documents about real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and meetings with government agencies, planning boards, and municipal councils.
  • Advise clients on compliance issues and strategies to navigate regulatory frameworks.
  • Handle litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate and municipal law matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar, with active and good standing status.
  • 1-6 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on real estate development, land use law, or municipal law.
  • Strong understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and local government procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience in negotiation, mediation, and litigation related to real estate and land use issues.

Certifications (Preferred):
