Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on handling commercial and business litigation matters, including contracts, partnerships, and business torts. Duties:

• Manage litigation cases involving commercial and business matters, including contract disputes, partnership issues, and business torts.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to develop case strategies.
• Ensure precision in case execution, maintain high standards of client service, and deliver excellent work product.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in commercial and business matters.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience with Westlaw or other legal research tools.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Insurance defense experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license (California preferred).

Skills:

• Expertise in legal research, drafting pleadings, and case analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle complex litigation matters and meet deadlines.
