Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy transition finance seeks a Junior to Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney to join its San Diego office. The role offers an opportunity to work on internationally recognized matters, focusing on novel financing deals in the energy transition space.

Job Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence efficiently and promptly.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work product.
  • Successfully manage deadlines, meet expectations, and perform assigned duties.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Experience handling transactions in financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies, with expertise in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient research and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.
  • Persuasive communication skills and management capabilities.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in California (CA).

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
