Job Overview

A regional law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Cincinnati, OH area. This entry-level position provides new attorneys the opportunity to gain exposure to various practice areas, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections litigation. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive review of loan documents, financial records, demand letters, and all other conditions precedent to legal action

  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence for case initiation and litigation

  • Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel

  • Update internal case management systems with documentation, findings, and strategic recommendations

  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and court interactions

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the State of Ohio (required)
