Duties:

  • Develop and implement case strategies from inception to resolution.
  • Engage with insurance companies for case negotiations.
  • Maintain consistent and empathetic communication with clients regarding case progress.
  • Supervise paralegals within the case management system to ensure efficient case flow.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other necessary legal documents for litigated cases.
  • Review, edit, and approve discovery drafts and requests.
  • Analyze and review medical records and reports pertinent to cases.
  • Develop, review, and refine demand packages for settlement negotiations.
  • Oversee settlement negotiations, ensuring lien reductions and fair resolutions.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Celebrate successful client outcomes as part of the team’s culture of achievement.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar License in Missouri and/or Kansas (both preferred).
  • Prior experience in personal injury law, with practical litigation experience.
  • Experience handling direct interactions with clients and insurance companies.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, case management systems (Filevine experience a plus), and legal research tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri and/or Kansas State Bar.
