Discovery Attorney

Job Description:

Duties:

• Draft and create privilege logs.
• Conduct second-level quality control review of work performed by others.
• Perform advanced database searches, including:
  • Searching for and selecting documents for depositions.
  • Assisting in developing a complex factual chronology.
  • Developing an understanding of an event using targeted searches.
  • Constructing complex searches to identify significant documents efficiently.

Requirements:

• Hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Must be a current, active member in good standing of the DC Bar.
• Strong legal reasoning and analytical skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce consistent and accurate work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines consistently.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Relativity; experience with other review platforms is helpful.
• Advanced database search experience.
• Ability to work well in teams and support associates and partners in a fast-paced environment.
• Foreign language skills are a significant plus, supported by existing ALTA scores and past review experience in the language.

Certifications:

• Current, active membership in good standing of the DC Bar.
