A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a Mid-Level Technology Transactions Associate Attorney to support the team on a broad range of transactions, including M&A support, and provide experience drafting varied commercial and technology agreements. This role offers exposure to a wide range of industries and supports deals firm-wide, with close mentoring by senior-level attorneys and partners. Outstanding academic credentials and a technical degree are required, along with technology transactions experience. Additional experience in life sciences transactions and patent law is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Support the team on a variety of transactions, including M&A support and drafting commercial and technology agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and research related to technology transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, software agreements, and technology transfer agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on technology-related matters.
  • Collaborate with senior-level attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Mentor junior associates and provide guidance on legal matters and career development.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • Should have 3-5 years of experience in technology transactions.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Technical degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
