Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to co-counsel on family law matters. The firm offers attorneys a steady stream of clients along with ongoing administrative support, including marketing, client sourcing, vetting, intake, and collections. The firm’s goal is to take as much administrative work off the attorney’s plate, allowing them to focus on practicing law. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of family law experience and be comfortable managing multiple cases while maintaining organization.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and property division.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as motions, petitions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Maintain communication with clients to provide legal advice and case updates.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s support team for effective case management and client service.
  • Ensure timely completion of legal tasks and manage multiple cases concurrently.
  • Provide compassionate and ethical legal representation to clients in family law matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing with the state bar.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with limited scope representation is a plus.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, ethical, and empathetic legal care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
