Job Title: Family Law Attorney (Salt Lake City, UT)

The ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for family law and demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead clients through complex family law cases while mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division.
  • Manage all aspects of case handling, including drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to support case strategies.
  • Skillfully negotiate settlements and navigate mediation processes.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and trials when necessary.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide creative solutions to legal issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and support junior attorneys through mentorship.
  • Effectively utilize legal technology and innovative systems to manage casework.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active Utah State Bar license or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of family law experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex family law cases from start to finish.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to represent clients in both mediation and court settings.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with strong project management capabilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Utah or eligibility for reciprocity with another state.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
  • Proficient in negotiating settlements and mediations.
  • Skilled in courtroom litigation and trial advocacy.
  • Ability to mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team collaboration.
