A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Mid-level/Senior Aviation Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing clients in various aviation finance transactions and possess strong academic credentials along with excellent writing skills. Experience in general equipment finance or maritime finance, as well as experience with capital markets, is a plus. Admission to practice in New York is required, and the candidate must demonstrate immediate transferable skills.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of aviation finance transactions, including aircraft acquisitions, leases, and secured financings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents related to aviation finance transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to aviation finance.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of aviation finance transactions, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop innovative solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on matters pertinent to aviation finance.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality legal opinions and reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in aviation finance and related fields.
  • Assist in business development activities by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys and legal staff as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in aviation finance, including handling complex transactions.
  • Admission to practice law in New York.
  • Immediate transferable skills in aviation finance law.
  • Strong academic background from a reputable law school.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and work effectively under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
  • Experience in general equipment finance or maritime finance is a plus.
  • Experience with capital markets is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

 

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
