Duties

• Represent clients in consumer finance litigation, including both state and federal cases.
• Handle a full caseload from case inception through to resolution.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions, and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Provide legal counsel and strategy to clients regarding consumer finance matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff on case preparation and research.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and trends in consumer finance law.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring consistent and effective communication.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and prepare settlements when necessary.

Requirements

• Experience in consumer finance, commercial litigation, or related practice areas.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Truth in Lending Act (TILA).
• Proven experience with legal research, writing, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and capable of managing time effectively under deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Membership in the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Certifications
